Developing inclusive practice

Inclusion Strategy Development

Improving educational outcomes for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities is a key part of improving outcomes for all. It is widely recognised that good practice for all supports this drive for improvement.

Building upon the SEND strategy, strengths and challenges around inclusion policy and practice identified by the sector/Council officers, whilst acknowledging the lingering impact of Covid-19, it is proposed to develop a strategy that builds momentum and positive outcomes for children and young people over the next 5 years.

The Inclusion strategy is intended to provide clarity and opportunity to align Shropshire policy with national, regional and local evidence based best practice.
