Information on the ERP

ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning)

The implementation of a new ERP solution, Business World will see the decommissioning of several systems around the council, to incorporate into one solution for the councils back office services, such as Finance, HR, Payroll and Procurement.

The applications which will be decommissioned as part of the ERP Project will include; ​

  • Samis​
  • ResourceLink​
  • MyView​
  • Havas​

Those systems which currently interface into the above will continue to interface into the new ERP system called Business World, and as part of the DTP (Digital Transformation Programme) and beyond will be reviewed to understand what options there are available.​

​We will also see many paper forms, spreadsheets and documents be removed as they will be delivered as part of the system ​capabilities.

Business World

Business World is a cloud ERP solution that enables service-centric organisations in the public and private sectors to gain a significant advantage over their peers.   

In short this will means an integrated, up to date system, which supports real-time management information, spend management and self-service activities such as budget management, absence recording, overtime, and expenses for all employees and our external customers.
