School Day Release Programme
Our school Day release programme has been created to work in collaboration with schools as an alternative provision for learners who want to achieve a vocational qualification. This is a great way for learners to gain an entry level qualification in an area of interest before moving on post school to do a higher level qualification either at Landau or moving onto college or getting an apprenticeship.
It is aimed at year 10 and 11 pupils who will come into our centre a minimum of 1 day per week. The vocational qualifications we offer can be found in the vocational section, there is a suite to choose from for pre16 learners.
The programme runs for 38 weeks and enables the young people to gain the industry skills and experience. It is a day away from the school environment which builds on other skills and helps prepare the young person for leaving school.
We work closely with the schools to support the young people and ensure there education experience is a good one. We ensure we share information with the schools and will give regular updates on progress.
We offer this programme to schools across Telford & Wrekin, Shropshire & Herefordshire.
If you are a school and interested in finding out more about how we can work together and take on some of your learners in the next academic year please get in touch with us via the contact us page.
